Two tornadoes crossed Lowell within two minutes on the evening of 30 June 2014. An EF1 at 21:42 and an EF2 at 21:44 that ran from Lowell toward Dinwiddie, with a 78-knot thunderstorm gust the same night. A third tornado, an EF0, followed on 14 March 2019.
